About Us
Hi, I'm Anastasia - the person behind Hilltop Hounds!
DBS Checked | Fully Insured | Pet First Aid Trained Level 2
I’ve always felt most at home with a pet beside me. I love to be outdoors, in wide open spaces, along woodland paths and by the sea, my steady connection to nature goes hand in hand with the way I care for animals.
I’m naturally patient and observant, taking the time to understand each animal’s individual personality and needs. Whether providing a walk, a pet visit or in-home pet sitting, I approach every service with attentiveness, care and a strong sense of responsibility.
I share my life with my own dog (Bella, who all the artwork is inspired by), cat and horse. Over the years, I’ve also had the pleasure of owning and caring for chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, fish and budgies. Experience with a wide variety of animals has given me a practical understanding of different temperaments, care requirements and the importance of consistency and trust.

I understand that placing your pet in someone else’s care is a significant decision. My aim is to offer a dependable and thoughtful service that ensures your animals are well looked after while you’re away, giving you complete peace of mind.

Our Story
I’ve always loved animals and the outdoors, and luckily my mum does too; she’s spent her whole working life in the farming and equine world. I caught the bug early, and after a few office jobs, I finally took the leap to do something I truly enjoy.

Growing up surrounded by animals, I’ve cared for dogs, horses, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, fish, and budgies… (as mentioned above!). Small talk with people isn’t really my thing, but I could happily chat with pets and about your pets all day.

In my free time, I’m usually *still* with animals, or outdoors. Caring for my horse Tom, practicing liberty work, or wandering across the moors with my partner and friends. At home, my favourite spot is to be curled up with a warm blanket, a cuppa tea beside me, sketching or painting with Otis, my cat, nearby.

You might have spotted me behind a camera at a wedding! Expect plenty of dog photos, and if you ever want some professional shots, I’m always happy to help.
